Adamovic Basses

Adamovic Basses

Adamovic Basses was born from Nikola Adamovic’s personal quest for ergonomic, lightweight bass guitars—an innovation that didn’t exist in the early 1990s. After years of performing with heavy, poorly balanced instruments that caused physical strain, Nikola began designing and building his own basses around 1997. What started as a personal project using repurposed parts quickly evolved into a professional endeavor, fueled by growing interest from fellow musicians. In 2001, Adamovic officially launched as a registered business in the Netherlands, and after attending the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery in the U.S., Nikola returned to refine his craft and build a brand defined by exceptional tone, comfort, and innovation.

Today, Adamovic is internationally recognized for producing high-end custom bass guitars that combine advanced ergonomic design with rare and sustainably sourced tonewoods. Each instrument is handcrafted in the Netherlands with a focus on playability, sonic excellence, and artistic craftsmanship. From unique wood combinations like Solomon padouk and zolernia to the precise balance and resonance of every model, Adamovic basses are revered by professional bassists worldwide. Now operating with a small, expert team and global distribution, Adamovic continues to push the boundaries of boutique luthiery—delivering 80 bespoke instruments annually to discerning players seeking top-tier performance and design.
